23 year old lady with normal sized earlobe who noticed a elongation of the split in her left earlobe piercing. Rather than waiting for the split to extend and completely divide her earlobe she underwent repair surgery under local anaesthetic. The pictures on the right were taken immediately following surgery and the pale appearance to her earlobe is due to the adrenaline contained in the local anaesthetic. Her normal earlobe appearance was maintained and she will return our specialist nurse for further piercing of her earlobe in the correct location two months following surgery.
