Are you experienced with Nipple Reduction surgery?

I have nipples which protrude more than I am comfortable with. Furthermore they are very sensitive to the touch. I absolutely hate them as they are affecting my life. As a result, I want surgery to reduce their length.

I know that this procedure is possible as I have carried out significant research on the internet. I have also had consultations with four different surgeons but two of them have never performed this type of surgery and the others did not make me feel comfortable with their techniques.

I am looking for a surgeon who has performed this type of surgery in the past and not someone who can only carry out breast reconstruction surgery. I live in Stockton-on-Tees and all of my consultations have been based in Leeds.

Thank you very much for your enquiry. We do specialise in nipple reduction surgery and are highly experienced in this field. From your picture it does look as though your nipples protrude too much, this can make it difficult with clothing.  In fact, many of our previous patients have complained of having to wear padding to conceal their appearance.

As you know, there are many techniques available for reducing the prominence of nipples. We prefer one that is performed under local anaesthetic and reduces their height and diameter. The aim is to have your nipples looking normal and approximately half the height that they are now. As mentioned, the operation is performed under local anaesthetic with absorbable stitches.
