Can you provide some post-operative advice with regard to Thigh Lift surgery?

Question:

Since having thigh lift surgery within the past month, I have encountered nothing but problems. The incision site does not seem to be healing and is oozing a pus-like fluid.

Plus, I find it difficult to walk properly as it feels as though the skin near my vaginal area is pulling which is very painful and my feet and ankles are constantly swelling up. I also have a constant pain radiating up both my legs and into the calf area.

All in all, this has been a very painful experience and I would appreciate any advice that you can give me.

Answer:

Thank you very much for your enquiry. We are sorry to hear that you have had so many problems with your thigh lift surgery. This is an area which heals quite slowly and this certainly seems to be the case with your treatment.

We really think that you need to see your surgeon to discuss the best way forward for you and to discuss which dressings should be used.

After thigh lift surgery, post-operative care is just as important as the procedure itself. If for any reason you are not happy with your surgical care, we would be happy to see you and assess the area so as we can advise on the beat treatment.

Alternatively, please send us a photo to: mailto:info@aurora-clinics.local where we will be delighted to give you an opinion as to the best dressings for your needs. I hope that the area improves soon but please feel free to contact us at anytime should you feel that we can help.

Best Wishes,

The Aurora Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Team
