Extreme Double PIP Rupture

The PIP rupture of this patient, was so severe in both breasts they had split casings, which left all the silicone still within the breasts. These PIPs were inserted in 2007 and were suspected of both being ruptured as a result of the pre-operation scan.

Mr Richards had to thoroughly clean out both breast capsules of all the silicone before inserting the new implants.

Afterwards Mr Richards looks at the implants and analyses them, needing plastic containers to keep the ruptured implants in as they were so runny.

Mr Richards looks at the implants after the surgery, and has to contain them within containers as the implants had no form to them.
