Nip and tuck nuptials on the rise

In a recent survey carried out by Brides Magazine, a surprising 35% of readers revealed they would be willing to have cosmetic surgery before their big day.

Claire Cordell, 33, decided to have cosmetic surgery undertaken by Adrian Richards of Aurora Clinics.

Claire was once a size 10 but after having children she felt she had the body of a woman a decade older. When her fiancé proposed, she told us she was thrilled, but had “this sinking feeling about showing my body of in front of friends and family””.

Claire made an appointment with Adrian Richards, who talked her through the Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)  and Breast Uplift (Mastopexy) procedures.

Having explained the realistic expectations, Claire made her decision to go ahead with the surgery but had not taken it too lightly. On the day of surgery Claire had five kilos of fat and skin removed and also the Breast Uplift as a joint birthday and wedding gift from her fiancé.

Four weeks following surgery, Claire had healed and was delighted with the results and felt confident posing for pictures on her wedding day.

Another Aurora patient, Gemma Harrison, 30 got engaged last year and found her dream wedding dress, a feminine strapless dress by Pronovias. However, she felt let down by her back, chest and shoulders as they were covered in large brown moles.

Gemma decided to take action and had fourteen moles removed by Adrian Richards at Aurora Clinics as a day patient. A new confident Gemma say’s she cannot put a price on how much better she feels as a result and has no regrets.
