This video series features the questions we have received about stretched and split earlobes. Stretched earlobes are increasingly common in today’s society, therefore correction of stretches is also becoming more common.

We get loads of questions from patients, some of which we simply answer, but the most frequent, we like to turn into information videos for you, so we have answers to these questions within our Youtube channel and on our website which is instantly accessible.

Split earlobe repair and stretched earlobe repair will start in exactly the same way. The markings will be made on the ear by Mr. Richards first due to the earlobe swelling after the local anaesthetic is administered. Then depending on the earlobe size, and the issue, whether it is a split or a stretch, different amounts of earlobe are removed. This is entirely circumstantial. The procedure takes in the region of 15 minutes per ear.
