Vaginal Surgery

Mini Tummy Tuck
Labial Reduction
What is it?

Labial reduction is a popular procedure with women who are dissatisfied with their long protrusive labia to the point that they find them uncomfortable or is highly selfconscious about their genitals because of the length of their inner vaginal lips.

How does it work?

Labia reduction is a relatively simple procedure. A surgeon will trim the labia so its sides no longer protrude. They will do this by simply cutting and re-stitching the inner lips. Alternatively, a v-shape cut can be made in the tissue and the sides sewn together so reducing the overall length of the labia.

How long does
surgery take?

Vaginal Surgery takes approximately 1 –2 hours to complete. The patient is required to be under a local anaesthetic. No overnight hospital stay is required.

What is the
recovery time?

Recovery is swift taking no more than 1 – 2 weeks, although sexual intercourse should be avoided for a minimum period of 4 weeks.

How long will it last?

Labial reduction produces permanent results.

Are there any
side effects?

Initial soreness, swelling and discomfort are likely to be experienced in the days immediately following the operation. Urinating might also be uncomfortable at first, but this unwanted sensation will soon pass. Overall, there are no permanent side effects to be concerned about.
