| What is it? |
- The Mini Facelift is ideal for people who experience early sagging of the skin around the skin around the chin, cheeks, jaw-line area, or eyebrows and who do not need a full surgical face lift.

| What is Involved? |
- Under local anaesthesia, very small incisions are made and skin is freed and pulled up. After indentifying areas of maximum sagging, surgical threads made of pure 24 carat gold are inserted under the skin to create a dense net-like structure. This gives mechanical support and subsequent scar tissue around the threads further tighten the skin. The wound is closed once the excess skin is pulled up and removed. The procedure takes around 1 hour.

| Things to be aware of? |
- Any swelling or bruising will normally settle within 2 weeks. Infection is rare and may require the use of antibiotics. In the case of using gold thread, a slight lumpiness of the overlying skin or a faint pin prick sensation can occur; massing the area will solve the problem.

| Results |
- The effect of the procedure builds up slowly over 3-6 months, the skin becomes tighter and the sagging is improved. The effect lasts for a few years and depends on the patient's age, skin care, smoking habits, UV radiation exposure, and genetic predisposition.
