Post Breast Augmentation Surgery Testimonial
My name’s Karen, and I decided to have a bilateral breast augmentation. The reason I had it was I had lost two stone and all of it went from my breasts. So I thought about it for a couple of months. The reason that I really got it was, in the end, I went on a holiday and I saw myself in a bikini and I was quite shocked. So after that I decided to have my breast augmentation.
I came to Mr. Richards because a friend recommended him, and the more I spoke about it to friends, more and more of my friends had met him and said how brilliant he was. My first consultation was just more as an introductory session. So he introduced himself and explained why, what type of implant, where it was going to go, and then the rest of it I could look up on the website, which suited me better because it’s a lot to take in. So you have the time to look over the website and decide what I wanted to do, have a look at the procedure, etc.
When I went for my operation, the staff were really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. You went in, you had your own private room, it was lovely. I had my own bathroom. The food was actually quite good unlike what people say about hospital food. The anaesthetist was really friendly.
Woke up, couldn’t remember a lot to be honest. The pre-meds are pretty interesting. That temazepam stuff is great. When I woke up, I was surprised I wasn’t in any pain. I got up. I did my makeup. I did my hair. So I can’t have been in too much pain.
The next day the pain is a little bit more interesting, but it is very well controlled, and to be honest, it wasn’t anything you can’t handle. The drugs they give you control the pain really well.
In terms of the pain post-op, nothing compared to what I was expecting. I honestly thought I was going to be in absolute agony, and to be honest, it’s more of an inconvenience more than a pain. In terms of the pain killers, I took them for about a week, but after that I kept forgetting to take them. So in that case, I thought well I probably don’t need to take them if I can’t remember to.
I didn’t experience any bruising whatsoever. I was really surprised at this actually, because I’ve seen photos before and a lot of people do experience bruising, but to be honest, I didn’t have any.
Post-op, I’m really happy with my results. A lot of my friends were quite interested to see them, etc. They’ve all had a good prod. The results, when you first come out, really quite swollen, but that soon goes down. The only thing is, is the first couple of days when you swap bras, it is quite uncomfortable when you do have to kind of hold them in place. But after that, that absolutely fine, and to be honest that lasted about a week.
In terms of Mr. Richards, I recommend him to everyone. I have recommended him to everyone. A couple of my friends are considering a breast augmentation. I said just go for it. I’m really pleased after that. I’m really pleased with the results, and the staff have all been really, really friendly. So I’m a happy bunny all around.
