Upper Blepharoplasty Testimonial
Two Weeks Following Surgery
This is my testimonial after having upper eyelid surgery, which I had two weeks ago, and I think it’s looking really good. I’m really pleased with the result. It’s still slightly red. A little bit underneath my eye, but overall I’m really, really pleased with the result. I had the stitches out last week. I went back to the hospital and that was fine. There was no discomfort there. I’ve had no complications since the surgery. So I would advise anyone wanting to get it done, I would really recommend it.
A little bit about the operation. On the day of the surgery, I went in at 7:00 in the morning, and I had the anaesthetic. I spoke to Adrian and the anaesthetist, and it all went very, very smoothly. I was really surprised there was no pain and slight discomfort when they put the needle in at my eyebrows to anaesthetise it, but I really didn’t have any pain whatsoever. After the operation I was awake and I was talking to them and I had to open my eyes and close my eyes. It just felt a little bit tight, if you now what I mean. I could feel a little bit of a tug as they were doing anything but no pain whatsoever.
It was over quite quickly, and then I went back to my room to recover. Adrian came up after lunch to see how I was doing, kept in touch. I had had a little sleep and I had actually managed to eat some food. I was fine. Then he came back later on at the end of the evening, later on in the afternoon just to check how I was, and I was really quite well. I had been watching TV and reading a little bit of the paper. They still felt a little uncomfortable but no pain. I didn’t need any pain relief or anything. So I was quite supported by the surgeon, and the nurse was really lovely. She kept popping in and putting a cold compress on my eyelids, which they recommend you do. She left cold water and ice cubes and extra pads so I could do it myself. I was quite ambulant and quite fair.
So overall I’m really glad I got it done. I wasn’t too sure about having it done initially because you see so many different reports and different things. I think it was quite heavy on my eyes. That’s what made me do it. It used to be my eyes were a little bit tired and I would hang over onto my eyelashes slightly, and plus my dad had heavy eyelids, so he had it done on. So that gave me the confidence to look around, and I researched and found this was near and very reasonably priced and things like that. So, highly recommend it as well. I am really pleased that I’ve gone ahead and got it done.
