Question regarding Nipple Correction following Gynaecomastia (Male Breast Reduction) Surgery

Question:Your Questions Answered by the Surgeons at Aurora Clinics

I have had Gynaecomastia (Male Breast Reduction) surgery and, although I am satisfied the lumps/glandular tissue have been totally removed, I am not happy with the look of my nipples.

The left nipple is a lot bigger and rounder than the right (which is about half the size and eye shaped). Also, the scarring is quite bad! What sort of procedures do you think could help?

Answer:

Thank you for your message. It sounds as if you may benefit from a reduction in the size of your larger left nipple and a scar revision on the right one. The aim of this procedure would be to make both of your nipples more symmetrical and reduce the scarring.

It would probably be best to see you in person to assess the area and we would then be able to recommend the best treatment for you.
