Dermal fillers made from hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers

Q-med fillers such as Juvederm come in various different thicknesses and have become popular in the UK, alongside many other filler brands.

There are a number of dermal fillers, all based on hyaluronic acid, such as Teosyl which are very popular and effective at treating facial lines at creases in the lower part of the face.

The majority of dermal fillers are used to the area around the mouth to restore volume to the area which is present in youth but is lost slowly as the face ages.

Since Q-Med first developed hyaluronic acid fillers, these substances based on hyaluronic acid have become the mainstay of dermal filler treatments in the United Kingdom.

Though Q-Med was first to develop hyaluronic acid fillers, since that time, other companies have developed other alternatives to the Q-Med range which include Restylane and Perlane.

These alternatives include the Juvederm range which is made by the company which manufactures Botox, Allergan.

Juvederm fillers based on hyaluronic acid have become extremely popular in the United Kingdom over the last few years partly due to the active advertising campaign in the print and television media for them.
