This is another surgery video, of a breast augmentation and an uplift, using the OCEAN™ technique – as seen on Channel 4’s “How Not to Get Old”.
At the beginning of the video, Mr Richards is talking through the initial process and explaining the markings he has on the patient. He goes over his markings, drawing around the breast, highlighting where the implant will sit, and then squeezes the breast together in parts to tighten the appearance. This is simulating the appearance post lift, which will give a tighter breast shape and because of the implants she will have better volume.
Moving on in the surgery video, we see the top layer of skin around the areola has been removed, leaving the inner white layer we can see, which is called the dermis. The breast looks a lot fuller than before, and this is because the implant has already been inserted. It was a 390cc implant, which the whole team believe is a good fit.
We skip to the end of the surgery for this side, with Mr Richards showing us the areola, and the scar that will be just around it. Visually, this technique is excellent, as it has the scar in an area not too noticeable, and then there is the option of medical grade tattooing to blend the scar in with the shade of your areola.
We move on to the end of the procedure, with everything sewn up, and the surgical tape being applied. Our patient has a fuller cleavage and good symmetry, which wasn’t straight forward as she had slight asymmetry before, so a larger implant was needed for the left side.
