bareEscentuals Makeover Prize for lucky Aurora Facebook page winner!
Congratulations to Mandy Potter, winner of our Facebook Prize Draw!
The competition, run at the end of last year, offered a free bareEscentuals Makeover experience to one lucky Fan of the Aurora Clinics Facebook page (selected at random). Plus, lucky winner Mandy also received a free bareEscentuals Eyes Kit to create a gorgeous smoky eye effect for going out in the evening!
The bareEscentuals Makeover took place at Aurora Clinics in Princes Risborough, by Aurora’s make-up artist Sarah Brechon (trained in Day/Evening and Special Occasion make-up at The London College of Beauty Therapy).
All make-overs at Aurora Clinic in Princes Risborough use only bareEscentuals 100% mineral make-up: Aurora specifically selected this product range because of its skincare properties. It contains absolutely nothing bad or harmful for your skin, just pure ground minerals in lovely shimmering colours.
The bareEscentuals products are particularly good for those with problem skin (rosacea, acne, scars or thread veins), fantastic for layers of coverage without feeling thick and caked on.
Aurora staff love it because it is the only make-up suitable for use on patients straight after Botox or Dermal Filler treatments; great for quick touch-ups before our ladies return to work!
Sarah Brechon also loves using bareEscentuals for her bridal makeovers because it gives such a natural glow: you still look like yourself but at your very best and most radiant. For Mandy’s makeover look, Sarah used the bareEscentuals Prime Time primer all over as a base to get rid of Mandy’s slight dry patches on her skin.
“Primer is an absolute must”, says Sarah, “for a really flawless finish and especially going into Summer when a lot of ladies do suffer from flaky areas.”
An all-over foundation in Medium colour was then used, applied with the patented bareEscentuals Swirl, Tap, Buff technique to exfoliate and heat activate the minerals for a gorgeous deep glow and smooth silky skin.
Mandy’s main focus is her eyes; she loves experimenting with colour here and was going out later on that evening wearing turquoise.
Sarah thought it would be fun to create a subtle but playful smoky eye look with a Cream Soda base coat, Electric (teal) High Shine eye colour to the corners of the eyes, Glisten (gold) High Shine to the inner corners and along the upper lids and a lower eye liner of bright turquoise Exotic Tara. Lashings of Flawless Definition black mascara really finished off the look.
With naturally gorgeous lips, Mandy did not really need the help of bareEscentuals plumping Buxoms so just a little moisturising gloss gave a pretty shine and gorgeous Pure Radiance to the cheeks finished off Mandy’s sleek, playful going-out look.
