Inverted Nipple Surgery Question:
I watched your video on inverted nipple correction surgery. Since all the milk ducts are severed during the procedure, does the nipple continue to respond as normal when stimulated or cold? Are sensations still the same after healing? Thank you.
Inverted Nipple Surgery Answer:
Thank you very much for your enquiry regarding inverted nipple surgery. After the nipple ducts have been divided the nipple remains out and does change slightly when stimulated or cold. This is because the muscle in the wall of the nipple is still intact and will still constrict in these conditions.
The sensation is generally the same after surgery and I have not been told by patients that any other activities have caused the nipple to invert again.
Best wishes,
