In this episode of our OCEAN™ breast enlargement FAQ, we discuss the sensation post surgery in the breast, nipple and areola. A lot of patients ask, and also expect to have a loss in the sensitivity in some part of the breast.
Sensation can be lost, but it can also be preserved. The nerves to the areas come through the side of the breast, which can be seen usually, especially with the incision in the inframammary fold. We train our surgeons to preserve all sensation where possible. During your consultation you should make it abundantly clear that the sensation in your breast is of paramount importance and should be preserved no matter what.
