Our new surgery technique, the OCEAN™ breast enlargement poses many questions, some we see for most procedures, but as it is new and pioneered by Aurora Clinics, we are getting many more quizzical questions for this series. How do you look after your scar? This is today’s topic. This could apply across many other procedures, but strangely enough we have only had it asked in reference to the OCEAN™.
Non-allergenic tape is applied to your wounds immediately post surgery. At your week follow up appointment we will give you some silicone pads, that are circular, the shape of your nipple and areola which will help the healing process.
Finally, once you are fully healed, there is medical grade tattooing, which can be done to the scar, to blend your areola and scar together, so it is virtually impossible to notice, unless you know what you are looking for.
