How does fat distribution vary between men and women?
You’ve probably noticed men and women are pretty different when it comes to fat distribution.
Men and women do tend to store fat in very different areas. Women usually hold fat around their middle portion, namely the hips and thighs.
Men, on the other hand, tend to hold their fat within their tummy cavity and often develop ‘beer bellies’, which are due to excess fat around the chest lines within the top of the cavity.
The bad news for men with beer bellies is that this makes them unsuitable candidates for Liposuction, as the fat lies within the tummy cavity.
However, women with excess fatty tissue around the thigh and hip regions make great candidates for Liposuction.
Sorry chaps – that gym membership might be a better option!
