Can you hide the scarring associated with Arm Lift Surgery?

Question:Your Questions Answered by the Surgeons at Aurora Clinics

I am considering arm lift surgery and have three questions. From the photographs that I sent you, could you provide an indication as to the length of the resulting scar and would a mini arm lift be an option for me?

I already have a scar on my left arm which is a by-product of surgery required for a broken arm in my teens. Would it be possible to have the incision made along this old scar as it is located on the inside of my arm? This would be suitable for me as I enjoy a lot of activities which involve the arm being raised.

Finally, if I combine arm lift surgery with a breast uplift, would there be any financial savings as I would, in effect, reduce the amount of time that I was in theatre etc? I am a 47 year-old female who weighs 8 1/2 stone

Answer:

Thank you very much for your enquiry. You do appear to be suitable for short scar arm lift surgery as your weight is relatively normal. It may be possible to use your existing scar as we do try to ensure that the resulting scar is positioned on the inner arm so as it is concealed.

If you are considering this type of surgery it would be best to see Mr Prashant Govilkar who specialises in this area. To book a consultation, please call our office on 01324 578290 or email us at mailto:info@aurora-clinics.local.
