Male Nipple Reduction surgery – can it remove lumps?

Your Questions Answered by the Surgeons at Aurora ClinicsWe’ve just had an interesting question through from a young male, and thought it would be helpful to share here.

Nipple Reduction question:

I have recently developed small pea sized lumps behind both of my nipples. I can only link this to the use of legal natural testosterone booster. I think I maybe had oestrogen rebound. I am currently on 2.5mg a day of letrozole but it does not seem to be helping.

My nipples look puffy and point out a bit. I am considering surgery. How much would this cost and would you give me any advice? I am male, 23 and in good physical shape which is why it is more distressing as I don’t have fat around the nipple, just these lumps! Thanks.

Nipple Reduction answer:

Hi, thanks for your email. It does sound as if you have developed breast tissue, possibly related to the medication you have taken in the past.

It would be best for you to come in and see one of our specialist surgeons in this field. They will be able to go through the options with you which is likely to involve removal of the tissue via an incision under the nipple.

With best wishes,
